TXMX Cup 2026 — Player Notice

Complement to previously published rules.
Please read the following local rule clarifications carefully. These apply to all divisions for all rounds of the 2026 TXMX Cup.

Drop Area

Relief at Restrooms Area — Hole 16

There is a designated drop area for a ball at rest in the restrooms area to the right of the fairway of the 16th hole.

Relief from this area is taken without penalty.

Penalty Areas

Lack of Clarity in Penalty Area Boundaries

Model Local Rule B-1 / B-2

Where stakes or lines defining a Penalty Area are missing or unclear due to recent storm damage, the edge of the Penalty Area is defined by the natural break of the slope (the shoreline / the lip of the hazard).

Note: Any remaining stakes are for identification purposes only. The actual boundary is the physical line where the slope down into the penalty area begins.

Ground Under Repair

Water Damage — Ground Under Repair

Model Local Rule G-1

Areas damaged by water runoff are defined by white lines or blue stakes and are treated as Ground Under Repair (GUR).

Deep ruts caused by runoff water in the general area are also treated as Ground Under Repair, from which free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1.
